AutoGyro Dreams is a company dedicated to affordable Rotary flight.
Rotary aircraft normally conjures up pictures of Helicopters which without doubt are amazing aircraft but reality places them only within the reach of Wealthy and Corporate pilots.
Recently a revolution has begun, seeing a return to the AutoGyro (Gyrocopter/Gyroplane) which was invented in Spain 1921 by Juan de la Cierva. Helicopters where developed around the same time as the AutoGyro, but with more funding and little worry for cost of fuel, they soon overtook the AutoGyro as the defacto Rotary machine, offering vertical takeoff, landing and zero ground speed hovering. AutoGyro’s have since been confined to the realm of the Homebuilt enthusiasts.
When the CAA created BCAR CAP643 Section T, which laid out rigid build criteria for safe AutoGyro aircraft, Magni Spl, Italy and AutoGyro GmbH, Germany who were already manufacturing factory AutoGyro’s (in the case of Magni, for 20 years) imported and commenced Section T certification to release the AutoGyro MT-03 and the Magni M16 into the UK market. The revolution began and AutoGyro’s have gone from strength to strength, year-on-year, becoming the fastest form of Sport Aviation in the UK and soon, will enter the Commercial sector, going head to head with General Aviation.
